The course aims to:
- provide learners with general knowledge of American culture in terms of geography, people, language, media, entertainment and milestone events in the country’s history;
- develop learners’ understanding of American’s political structure, education system and religion;
- enhance learners’ competence in comparing and contrasting American’s culture to their own culture;
- expose students more intensively with experience for improved independent and collaborative learning through pair and group assignments.
