This course is designed for fourth-year students of the English Language Program. The course is delivered in the 8th semester of the eight-semester program. Key aspects of the course include increased exposure to tasks of translation, development of student’s ability in analyzing texts of official genre, solving translation problems regarding terminology and legal language so as to handle translation assignments with confidence. The course also involves more demanding tasks of interpretation through diverse spoken discourses and simulated interpreting situations.
The course engages students with individual and group work activities through which they can develop themselves as independent and collaborative learners.
